Sources & Data

We believe in transparency. Here are the data sources and references we use to power our tools.

Currency exchange rates

Our currency converter uses the Frankfurter API, which provides reference exchange rates from the European Central Bank (ECB). Rates are updated daily (around 16:00 CET) and cover 30+ currencies. The Frankfurter API is free, open, and does not require an API key.

Note: These are reference rates for estimates and general conversions, not real-time trading rates.

Unit conversions

Length, weight, temperature, area, volume, speed, and other unit converters use standard conversion factors from NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) and widely accepted international standards. All conversions are computed client-side with fixed conversion factors.

Calculators

Math, financial, and other calculators use standard formulas and algorithms. No external data sources are required — calculations run entirely in your browser.
